The version of IPF that ships with NetBSD 5.1 is v4.1.29 (per
`ipf -V'). I would be interested in upgrading IPF to v5.1.0. The IPF FAQ
says to start with a number of commands issued from "the IP Filter source
directory." Within the NetBSD sources, this is /usr/src/dist/ipf. If I'm to
use this path, I would infer that the IPF 5.1.0 distribution should reside in
it. If that's the case, should the IPF source that came with NetBSD 5.1 be
renamed (e.g. to /usr/src/dist/ipfold) and then relocate the IPF 5.1.0
distribution content to /usr/src/dist/ipf? Or should I just place the IPF
5.1.0 distribution content somewhere handy (like where I have it now in
/usr/local/src/ip_fil5.1.0/...) and start from there?

Mike
